I lost 30 lbs but still eat sweet treats, my yummy loaded cookies are the easiest autumn bake & they're ready in minutes | The Sun

A MUM has dropped 30lbs in just two months – but revealed she still enjoys sweet treats including her mouth-watering loaded cookies.

Ash Reid, from Glasgow, regularly shares her lifestyle tips and shopping hauls on social media (@ashreid_).

She has also been documenting her weight loss journey after having a swallowable gastric balloon fitted at the end of July, when she weighed 14st 7lbs.

She said: "In the past couple of months I have lost 2st in weight.

"When it comes to eating foods and different things I'm having, I'm noticing that I'm getting fuller way, way quicker.

"I eat within a short eating window between like 11.30am and 6.30pm.

“My portion control's a lot better, appetite has definitely reduced and overall I'm just feeling a little bit more energetic”

But her smaller appetite hasn't stopped Ash being able to enjoy sweet treats.

On a recent trip to Marks & Spencer, the mum of two picked up ready made cookie dough for £2.75 and a £3 jar of golden blondie chocolate spread to make cookies with daughter Ella.

Ash hailed the treat as an "Easy autumn bake" which tasted just like Kinder Bueno.

In a short video, she said: "We had this little idea of making stuffed cookies.

"We went to Marks and Spencer and we got this golden blondie chocolate spread. It's kinda like the inside of a Bueno, that's what it's like.

"With, like, little crunchy bits, kinda like biscoff pieces in it. Really nice."

Ash split her cookie dough into eight portions, using two pieces to 'sandwich in' some of the chocolate spread to create "big clusters" which she then popped in the oven for nine minutes.

"Now usually this is the point where I would think I've not actually had them in for long enough because they're still kinda soft", she admitted.

"But you just need to let them set and cool down and harden up.

"So I'm gonna leave them for a bit and then come back and see them
when it's time to eat them."

To speed up the process, Ash put the loaded cookies in the fridge for a couple of minutes before putting them to the taste test.

She said: "They're like the perfect amount of chewiness, I can tell by looking at them. Like, they're still kinda soft.

"And let's see what's inside. Oh my God. Oh, it's dripping out.

"Let's try it. Still warm. Oh my God, I was not prepared.
