David Beckham gets new tattoo to honour wife Victoria and the Spice Girls

David Beckham has got a new tattoo in a sweet tribute to his wife of 24 years, Victoria Beckham.

Former football star David, 48, has had the word 'Posh' tattooed on one of his fingers – the name that Victoria used when she was a member of the Spice Girls – the biggest girl band of the nineties.

The pair met in 1997 at a charity football match, when they were both at the height of fame – David as a star player for Manchester United, and Victoria as one of the Spice Girls.

They married in 1999, four months after welcoming their first child – son Brooklyn.

The couple are now parents to four children, including Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and 12 year old Harper.

Despite creating a brand around the Beckham name, with tons of celebrity friends to boot, David and Victoria remain one of the most steadfast couples in showbiz, with family at the core of their values.

After getting his latest inking done at Shamrock Social Club in California, David told told The Sun on Friday: “I’ve just had ‘Posh’ done … any of the tattoos I’ve got are of the family."

He also shared some snaps to Instagram of the tattoo session, writing: "They don’t make them like this anymore. First stop @markmahoney_ssc @shamrocksocialclub."

David's sons also have a penchant for body art, and his youngest Cruz, 18, recently also had a tattoo bearing Victoria's alter-ego name 'Posh' done just above his elbow.

David boasts more than 60 tattoos on his body, including ten red roses, which he got inked in tribute to his wife on their ten year anniversary.

Beckham fans are soon to get a further insight into the family's life, as a documentary named 'Beckham' is airing on Netflix on October 4.

A trailer for the documentary was recently released, which saw David and Victoria speaking about their earlier lives – when David was one of the biggest footballers in the world.

Proud wife, Victoria, posted the clip to her Instagram page, as she captioned it: "I’m so proud of you @DavidBeckham and everything you’ve achieved.. I can’t wait for you all to see BECKHAM on @Netflix from October 4!! xx"

David also shared it to his own Instagram, with a lengthy caption that read: "Ten years since I retired from playing football I’m proud to share the first trailer for BECKHAM, my Netflix documentary series. I’m so grateful to @fisherstevens for his partnership over the past two years to bring this project to life.

"Many hours of conversations, many stories I’ve never told and many people from my life and career sharing their memories. I can’t wait for you all to see it. Streaming 4th October on @Netflix #BECKHAM."
